- DAMŋikotse pe ŋiŋtseडराउन त धेरै डराएँ।I was pretty scared.

- DAMthaŋri thaŋri mjun tera mutsiबाहिर बाहिर एक रात सुतेँ।We slept outside that night.

- DAMkur naŋri lʌritse nutseपाल भित्र एक महिना जति सुतेँ।We slept in a tent outside for a month.
- TEKkuru naŋri lake la tuku tamiपाल भित्र झनै धेरै गाह्रो भयो।It was very uncomfortable.
- DAMkuru naŋri khaŋle ʈutsiपाल भित्र चिसो भए पनि बस्यौँ।It was very cold, but we stayed.

- DAMtsʌptseko khimi tsi tsi sa khʌp lʌmu tẽ apimoखानेकुराहरू चाहिँ अलि अलि बाँडेको जस्तो गरियो, खासै केही पाईएन।It felt like more food was being distributed, but we never got much.

- DAMte utsu arʌtʌ te atsʌखासै केही थिएन, अनि केही खाएनौँ।But there wasn't much, so we didnot eat.
