Nima Yezer from Mangzor village sings spiritual song from the biographical account of a Tibetan woman known as Ashi Nangsa. According to Sonam Chophel, the researcher at Shejun, while Ashi Nangsa was expressing her disinterest in marrying King Lo Drakchen. In discussions with her friends about their husbands, her friends mocked and insulted her when she expressed her desire in pursuing the Buddhist dharma. Thus, she sang this song to convince her friends about her sincerity and the impermanence of life, and also to further encourage her friends to practice dharma. The song states that life is as impermanent as a rainbow, the rays of the setting sun, or the beauty of the youth--all of which are temporary and ready to wither. She encourages her friends to pursue the dharma path, and she expresses her decision to enter a life of dharma alone. According to Ashi Nangsa, practicing Dharma is the only important thing in one’s life.
