In this short video, Chanu narrates an orgin of natives of Kharmi community. According to him, it is believed that Kharmi community was of four different groups such as Pangthangpa from Khenkhar under Mongar district, Pachima of Kunglung region, Khalingpa from Khaling Barshong under Trashigang district and Garumpas from Dungsam Dewothang under Samdrup Jongkhar district. In the past different natives speakes their own dilact but through time they are speaking the native language of east, popularly known as Tshanglakha. Thus, the community of Kharmi were orgins of four different groups of people from different region.
